PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE: He's an entertainer and a samurai, and has no problem loudly proclaiming that information. Most will know that he's spent most of his life in Colvus as he has no problems telling people that as well.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE: His Vohemaro militia troop was known for being merciless, which was largely due to Gorobei. It wouldn't be unusual for older characters to have heard of the troop, but very few will be able to link Gorobei to it.
POP CULTURE PHENOMENON?: His entertaining skills have yet to garner him much recognition.
